Kidsgiving 2009


Thank you to everyone who joined us for our 10th Annual KidsGiving Celebration and our 2nd Annual Food Drive!  We collected 6,000 pounds of food with our sister stations ESPN Sports Radio 1080 The FAN and 99.5 The Wolf while broadcasting live on November 19th.  

Marty Party, Iris Harrison and Glynn Shannon broadcasted live as we collected food for the Community Transitional School and The Oregon Food Bank!. We gave away tons of prizes including CD's, DVD's, Motorcycle Ice Racing Tickets, McDonald's gift cards, Regal Movie Passes, tickets to see the Portland Trail Blazers, and tickets to see Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Plus, Ski Bowl Lift Passes and a Normandy Guitars aluminum body guitar autographed by Jonny Lang, The Doobie Brothers and more!



Thank you for helping children in need in our own backyard. KidsGiving is an
annual awareness and fundraising campaign dedicated to helping children who are most in need and most at risk in our community.  This year, KGON helped collect donations for the Oregon Food Bank and the Community Transitional School, a school helping children dealing with chronic poverty and homelessness.


   

Plus, the Community Transitional School gave away a 2010 Chevy Camaro! Congratulations to John Ingerson from Canby!
