Well let's see...I've been riding the radio roller coaster for nearly 30 years now. I grew up as a radio fan, but I really caught the bug when my family moved to Southern Oregon the summer before my sophomore year in high school. When I went to get my classes together the school counselor told me the school had a radio station...SIGN ME UP!!!... My first professional gig was at KRWQ in Gold Hill in '85 or '86...( I stopped counting long ago). I'm closing in on 22 years in Portland, most of that time has been with KGON, starting in August of 1990. I've been in and out of the door a couple of times, but as Iris says, it's like the Hotel California.."you can check out any time you like but you can never leave"...So true!!...Now, I have the honor and privilege to follow in the footsteps of my good friend Marty. As the years have passed I've watched my beautiful daughter grow up and now I have two fabulous grand kids. OK..what else!!...The first real rock album I owned was Kiss "Alive"..My first concert was Cheap Trick at the Jackson Co. Expo in Medford in 1981. I'm a big baseball fan, I'll pick up a guitar occasionally (and play poorly, but it's still fun)...I love Mexican food and my favorite adult beverage is a margarita. Oh..and I used to have long hair but it doesn't grow like it used to.
