Jeff Lynne’s ELO Announces First North American Tour in Over Three Decades

Jeff Lynne’s ELO have announced a North American tour for August 2018

Jeff Lynne and his Electric Light Orchestra will return to North America for their first tour stateside in over 35 years, it was announced today.

The tour, which includes 10 shows, will kick off August 2nd in Oakland, CA and wrap up August 24th in Philadelphia, PA. Other stops include Los Angeles, Denver, Houston, Dallas, Rosemont, IL, Detroit, Toronto, and New York.

“Our audiences are amazing. It’s like they’re in the group. We can’t wait to play for them again,” said Lynne in a statement.

Tickets for the tour go on sale November 17th via Ticketmaster.

The tour announcement comes just days before the release of Wembley or Bust, the new live album and concert film from the band. Watch the trailer for the film below.

Widely agreed upon as one of the greatest record producers in music history, Lynne was a co-founder and member of The Travelling Wilburys together with Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison, George Harrison and Tom Petty as well as a producer and collaborator with some of the biggest names in music including The Beatles, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Joe Walsh, and most recently, Bryan Adams.
