Hopefully the scorching days of Summer are over, and we can get down to doing that seasonal thing we do so well here in the Northwest....Celebrate Oktoberfest!  BEER!  Yay!

Thu-Sun, Sept 14 – 17: Portland Fall RV & Van Show in Portland Expo Center.

Thu-Sun, Sept 14 – 17: Mount Angel Oktoberfest has beer and wine gardens, live music, singing, dancing, arts and crafts, and a weekend car show in Mount Angel.

Sept 14 - Oct. 7: Oktoberfest at McMenamins. Enjoy beer, food, live music, etc.

Sat, Sept 16 (5 p.m.): WildCat Ridge Sanctuary Halloween Soiree features live music, dinner, drinks, dancing, and a charity auction at the Sentinel Hotel.

Sat, Sept 16: Celebrate the independence of Mexico and its neighbors from Spain at El Grito y Fiestas Patrias, which includes folkloric and Aztec dancers and live mariachi, salsa, cumbia, and pop music, plus food & craft vendors at Moda Center Commons. Free.

Sat, Sept 16 (noon to 9 p.m.): The Portland Rose Society’s Fall Rose Show at the Lloyd Center Mall is billed as America’s largest and longest-running rose show.

Sat, Sept 16 (1 to 6 p.m.): Beaverton International Celebration features the food, art, costumes, dance, and music of many countries at Tualatin Hills Athletic Center in Beaverton. Free.

Sat, Sept 16 (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.): The Cruise to Historic Downtown Oregon City fills Main Street with hundreds of classic cars, hot rods, trucks, and motorcycles from the 1950s to 1970s. Free.

Sat, Sept 16: Sidewalk Chalk Art Festival in downtown Forest Grove. Pay to create your masterpiece on a sidewalk or admire hundreds of others’ works for free at

Sat, Sept 16: Cider Squeeze features cider pressing, food, music, blacksmith demonstrations, and tours of Philip Foster Farm from the 1860s in Eagle Creek.

Sat, Sept 16(1 to 9 p.m.): Septembeerfest under the trees of Avery Park in Corvallis.  Beers, ciders, and meads. Children age 12 and younger are free. No pets.

Sat-Sun, Sept 16 – 17: Polish Festival 3900 N. Interstate Avenue.  Enjoy Polish food, beer, dance, music, and polka. Free.
