After talking about the Rolling Stones' past while promoting his
memoir, Keith Richards is sharing his thoughts on the band's future.
In an interview with BBC 6 Music, the guitarist said that he expects
the Stones to start work on another album this December or January
2011... then, a tour? Richards added, quote, "After these many years working
together, we have a lot of unfinished stuff to work on that we had to
leave off the last album. And knowing Mick [Jagger], as I do, he's a
very prolific writer."
Richards' comments follow the release last month of his autobiography,
"Life." In the book, the 66-year-old makes controversial remarks
about his relationship with Mick Jagger. Richards refers to the
Stones' frontman in one "Life" passage as "unbearable," but has said
in recent interviews that he and Jagger remain "great friends."
Iris and I have gotten a kick out of Richards calling Jagger "Brenda!" :)
I finally got around to picking up Keith's new book, Costco has it for $16.99!
Now, I just need to find the time to tear into it! I'm half way through James "Tappy" Wright's "Rock and Roadie" and still have Pete Carlin's "McCartney" sitting in my stack of books to read!
Maybe I'll save "Life" for the Thanksgiving holiday.....if I can wait that long.....
