I talked to Graham Nash earlier this summer. He had the line of the night earlier this month in the Keller, talking about Crosby Stills and Nash. "We made a lot of great music over the years. If we hadn't of been so $#!@ up, wewould have made a lot more" Hear that conversation here
Signe Anderson will be inducted into the Oregon Music hall of Fame Saturday evening in the Aladdin Theatre. I enjoyed talking to her about her days with The Jefferson Airplane Listen to the interview here.
One of the highlights of my radio career was the day Joe Elliott and Rick Savage of Def Leppard presented me with this incredible award. Gold album for HIGH & DRY and Platinum album for PYROMANIA. Talked to Joe on the phone about what he’s up to now. Click here to enjoy the interview and Keep Rockin!
The proper way to kick off the Holiday Season is with a Trans-Siberian Orchestra show! It’s what gets me into a holiday mood every time. Plus, it’s just a great concert! The band is incredible, the singers are amazing, the story is moving, and the lasers and pyro add that little sparkle that just lights everything up in a big way! Every year, I have the pleasure of speaking to Al Pitrelli about the upcoming show. This year I was really looking forward to our talk because T.S.O. is doing a NEW SHOW! “The Christmas Attic” is the one part of the Christmas Trilogy that has never been done in its entirety. So we get a new show to embrace this year from T.S.O.! Mark your calendar for Sunday, November 23rd at the Moda Center. There’s two shows, a matinee at 3pm and the 7:30pm show that follows. I recommend going to both shows. That’s what I always do. Just can’t get enough of that band! SO, here’s the conversation I had with Al Pitrelli about the upcoming concert. Thanks for listening! ~Iris
Portland’s musical landscape is rich with such talented artists, like Jay Bird Koder! Last time I saw Steve Miller perform at Edgefield, he was brought on stage to play, and for me, Jay Bird stole the show. On October 4th, 2014, he will be inducted into the Oregon Music Hall of Fame. He’s played with Mel Brown, Thara Memory, Curtis Salgado, Obo Addy, Doc Severinsen, Jeff Lorber, Robert Cray, Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, Cool’r, The Oregon Symphony, Steve Miller and many more. In this interview we talk about his band SoulMates, touring, some of the people he’s worked with, music education, his time at Berklee School of Music, and more. He’s a wonderful human being, and it’s always a pleasure to talk to him. Click here to enjoy the interview. ~Iris

Justin Hayward is one busy man. He's currently on tour with The Moody Blues, and that was right after he wrapped a solo tour. After this Moodys tour is over, he goes back out on the road to do the solo gigs again. Plus there was the Spring Moody Blues Cruise that not only featured the band, but several other artists along for the ride. I'm tired just thinking about it! His show here in Portland in June at the Aladdin was fantastic, and the new album and DVD "Spirits Live" is from his solo tour. We talk about his love of travel, the Moodies, the cruise plans, and more. Click here to enjoy the interview.
